Important Notice: Singapore Visa Processing May Take Longer Due to the Chinese New Year

As Singapore prepares for the festive Chinese New Year celebrations (17 February – 23 February), government offices operate with limited capacity while handling a large number of applications. During this period, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) is experiencing temporary file queue pressure and processing backlog.

Because of this, Singapore applications may take slightly longer than the usual processing timeframe. Please note this is a normal seasonal delay at the authority level and does not indicate any issue with your application.

To help you travel smoothly, we recommend:

  • Applying well before your planned departure date
  • Avoiding urgent submissions during this period
  • Checking your email regularly in case additional information is requested

Processing timelines are expected to normalize after 23 February once regular operations fully resume.
