As Singapore prepares for the festive Chinese New Year celebrations (17 February – 23 February), government offices operate with limited capacity while handling a large number of applications. During this period, the هيئة الهجرة ونقاط التفتيش (ICA) is experiencing temporary file queue pressure and processing backlog.
Because of this, Singapore applications may take slightly longer than the usual processing timeframe. Please note this is a normal seasonal delay at the authority level and does not indicate any issue with your application.
To help you travel smoothly, we recommend:
- Applying well before your planned departure date
- Avoiding urgent submissions during this period
- Checking your email regularly in case additional information is requested
Processing timelines are expected to normalize after 23 February once regular operations fully resume.
